Job Summary:

This is a Full Time Employee position that will participate in an innovative training and development program, applying Information Technology (IT) / programming technical skills in a dynamic IT department. Deliver solutions and influence business decisions through sound technical knowledge and effective communication.

 

Initial placement will be in a full time, entry-level IT technical / developer position. During the first 6 months there will be additional training introducing you to all aspects of a large, complex Corporate Technology Department.

Upon completion of your first year, you will be eligible to apply to career opportunities spanning application, web, mobility, and user interface development; GIS development; IT operations; IT security; business analysis and consulting; project management and end-user services.

Primary Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and support Technology goals and objectives across three discipline areas:

    • Applications: Programming, web / user interface (UI) development, design, testing, project definition, requirement specification, implementation and maintenance.
    • Enterprise services: Information and database design, project, security, architecture and change management.
    • Operations and infrastructure support: Database, systems software, server, capacity, storage and systems administration.
  • Develop business relationships with internal customers and business partners.
  • Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related major field of study required to be completed by the class start date of this position (January 2018)

Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to meeting the above the following are preferred:

  • 1 or more years of programming / database design / web or UI development technology work experience or internships
  • Grade point average of at least 3.2 (based on a 4-point scale) in major field of study for your highest degree

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of web / java / UI / programming concepts and technologies
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts and functions
  • Knowledge of current web technologies and concepts
  • Ability to write programs of simple-to-medium complexity

  • Work hours may vary in length and schedule (i.e., may include a nonstandard workweek).
