Netbackup Administrator in the Centralized Operations department of MMC: This position will be responsible for the implementation of backup infrastructure devices, NB master server, NB media servers, Data Domain Disk, Tape Drive & Tape silo infrastructure. This position will work all of the activities related to the backup/restore process for this infrastructure to ensure the highest level of availability for our customers. This position will review the existing infrastructure as it relates to support, develop policies, identify operational usages patterns as it relates to performance, provides improvements to SLAs, participates in RCA reviews, monitors backup/restore activity, generates operational reports, manages storage capacity as it relates to backup images, assists with operational documentation, meets MMC audit and compliance policies, implements global standards, applied supported software/firmware versions, and the on boarding of the backup devices into this environment.

Deploy and decommission Netbackup Infrastructure devices.
On-board new storage devices into Data Centers and remote offices throughout the globe.
Perform Data Domain and Tape Library hardware firmware upgrades.
Perform Netbackup Installs & upgrades. Support multiple operational and infrastructure related backup projects.
Perform in-depth analysis and problem determination/resolution as it relates to day-to-day operations support
NetBackup Master, Media and client server failures/management
IBM Tape silo’s, Tape drives and media management
EMC Data Domain management
Opscenter Backup Reporting Device failures/management
Restore Backup/Restore Services
Life cycle management of the software and hardware portfolio
Develop & enhance Backup Process Flow
Open, modify and close change control tickets related to the management and maintenance of the backup infrastructure assets globally.
Open, modify and close level 2 incident ticket related to backup infrastructure assets and help assist other technology platform groups when necessary related to severity 1 incidents when required.
Create, modify reports related to our NB master, NB media & NB client, OpsCenter servers, this also includes Data Domain, and tape infrastructure used within backup infrastructure environments.
Ensure that all Backup Infrastructure are monitored on a daily basis & that the proper alerting is setup and sent to the right technology group from a notification perspective.
Ensure that all Backup Infrastructure have the highest availability for our customers; this ensures that they can continue to generate revenue for their business.
Create, modify and publish process & procedural documents that our team can leverage to support the Backup Infrastructure globally.
Ensure that all Backup Infrastructure deployed into our global environment meet or excide the Audit, Risk, Governess, Disaster Recovery & Security requirements documented by policy.
Implement standard configuration of the Backup Infrastructure to ensure consistency and supportability globally.
Communication of ideas and information effectively via oral and written communication to a diverse audience. Process Flow and Log Analysis for NB Master, NB Media, NB Client, SAN zoning for tape drives, SAN Disk for NB catalog, Tape Silo’s, Tape Drives, media pools, and firmware/software versions for these devices.
Work with Storage engineering team to ensure designs/solutions are operationally sound from a support perspective. Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field from an accredited college/university or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience 5+ year’s hands on experience in a technical backup infrastructure operational role supporting Netbackup Master Server, Media Server, Data Domain and IBM tape library infrastructure. Excellent communication skill required; both written and verbal Technical knowledge in Netbackup, Data Domain, Tape Libraries, Unix, Windows & Networks. Ability to actively troubleshoot incidents and escalate appropriate Understanding of ITIL and ISO operating guidelines; certification in ITIL preferred Strong process development and service delivery principles. Scripting skills in one or more scripting languages (Perl, shell, etc) Experience with Change Control Ticketing & Incident Reporting and Ticketing Ability to manage and maintain own book of work.
