Verizon Cost Assurance Senior Analyst in Lake Mary, Florida
What you’ll be doing...
Significantly contributes to the delivery of financial and/or accounting services as an Individual Contributor working in specific areas within Finance and/or Accounting and also assists in establishing required linkages to the global Finance organization. Demonstrates a basic knowledge of financial, accounting and additional support systems. Works to support the team as assigned enabling the business through technology enhancements with various assigned tasks to collect and assimilate data. Demonstrates understanding of systems and interdependencies of processes to drive the business toward the development of systems that enable processes. A further key responsibility of this position is to identify any improvement opportunities in this area and, if asked to, contribute to the design and implementation of new processes or procedures as a result of identifying improvement opportunities. Value is provided to the enterprise by constantly improving the processes associated with the delivery of specific Finance and/or Accounting services to provide timely, accurate information and to ultimately safeguard Verizon assets.
Determine settlements system enhancements required for new contract implementations and to improve existing settlement process; interface with IT on project milestones, oversee project requirements, etc.
Evaluate legal documents and drafts to ensure required provisions are understood and implemented. Coordinate with Legal and Product Teams.
Support Verizon teams as needed to transition payments to Cost Assurance and implement appropriate contractual controls.
Implement tracking and coordinate with Legal, Product and Operations teams on appropriate actions to take on expiring contracts.
Provide financial analysis support on content to Product teams, FP&A and Network.
Develop controls and review transactional data to ensure that information flows through to billing; eliminate fallout as needed.
Prepare monthly executive reporting on content expense trends, expense drivers, special topics, rate changes.
Develop and update documentation on content settlement processes.
Drivestrategic initiatives supporting corporate expense reduction and/or revenue improvement initiatives.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Three or more years of accounting or relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Computer Science.
Demonstrated analytical skills; ability to investigate and determine root cause of issues.
Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives and project management.
Experience with Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
Strong written and oral communications skills.
Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA, PMP) preferred.
