Provides therapeutic massage for patients/customers which involves manipulation of the soft tissue of the body to reduce and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasms, and stress with the goal of promoting health and wellness. Meet the needs of clients and the multi-disciplinary team through communication, coordination, and documentation. Considers how actions or plans will affect members; responds quickly to meet member/patient needs and resolves problems. Position will have the flexibility to cover multiple locations if needed.

Essential Responsibilities: - Room own patients; assess, implement, and evaluate massage therapy sessions for clients within the Centers for Complementary Medicine. - Relaxes contracted muscles, facilitates elimination of toxins, and fosters healing of strained muscles. - Applies lotion, gel, cream, or oil products to massage body by using massage techniques to promote healing. - Communicate effectively with an interdisciplinary team including client, family, physician, referral sources, team members, peers, support staff and management through written and verbal means; may refer patient to other complementary medicine services to provide fully integrated care. - Facilitate the delivery of age-related care skills as defined by area patient population. - Assist in creating a calm and healing environment for clients and staff. - Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and requirements. - Provide exemplary customer service. - Prepares treatment rooms for use by cleaning, stocking, and arranging supplies, equipment and instruments. Maintains departmental supplies, equipment and apparatus in a clean, safe and functional condition. - Demonstrates computer literacy for charting and reviewing in an automated medical record. Works within scope of practice and according to KP policies. Complies with regulatory requirements and standards of care. - Performs the responsibilities of other departmental personnel, including clerical and reception duties, to maintain efficient departmental operations, as required. - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, such as assisting in orienting and training new employees, transporting equipment or patient, stocking shelves, taking inventories, and ordering supplies. - The union and the company are currently investigation the bargaining unit status of this position. If it is determined that this is a bargaining unit position, bargaining unit status (seniority dates, dues payments etc.) will be applied on a retroactive basis based on the employment commencement date.

Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Experience - N/A Education - Graduate of a training program accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation or a member of the AMTA Council of Schools. - Minimum 500 credit hours of training with an accredited school required. License, Certification, Registration - State License in Massage Therapy required.

Additional Requirements: - Have no adverse reporting in the national practitioner databank. - Keen observation and assessment skills to detect physical abnormalities and know when to refer patients to a physician. - Continuing education requirements as required for Massage Therapy licensing in the State of Colorado.

Preferred Qualifications: - Minimumtwo (2) years as a Licensed Massage Therapist preferred. - National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) certification preferred. - Membership in the American Massage Therapy Association preferred.
