Armstrong Flooring, Inc. (AFI) is looking for an exceptional National Builder Sales Manager to be located in the Lancaster, PA area. In this role you will direct, lead and grow profitably Armstrong’s position with the Top 25 National Home Builders. Work in collaboration with AFI Distributors, Contractors, and owners to influence the specification and purchase of Armstrong Residential and Commercial Flooring Products. This role is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales budget with regard to price, volume, and mix and will interact, partner and drive National Builder programs with Armstrong region sales directors and reps to drive expected business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for growing the business – increase/maintain market share profitably – by creating customer value and competitive advantages.

  • Communicate and implement new Builder product introductions, pricing, marketing programs, promotions and initiatives to drive the business through the AFP sales team and distributor

  • Manage all selling and promotional expense budgets for assigned territory

  • Achieve National Builder goals in sales volume, mix, new products, and pricing.

  • Cultivate and develops relationships with key distributor, contractor, and customers.

  • Communicate and effectively track all new business development opportunities and initiatives through Salesforce.

  • Works with customers to comply with Armstrong specifications.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years previous sales experience

  • A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree preferred

  • A strong track record of achievement; Experience as a top performer with outstanding result

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills

  • The ability to learn quickly

  • Results driven attitude

  • High energy level

  • Desire to sell a great brand and great products within an appropriate spectrum of price range

  • Consultative selling, strong communication, influencing, negotiating, analytical, time/project management skills are essential

  • Demonstrated ability and experience to effectively manage multiple relationships and priorities.

  • Valid US driver's license
