Armstrong Flooring Inc. (AFI), has a job opportunity for a Pricing Analyst to be located at our corporate headquarters in Lancaster, PA. The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for analytics such as: understanding historic & current pricing trends, executing on channel & product pricing strategy, leading projects supporting key strategic initiatives, projecting what-if scenarios of pricing changes, completing annual pricing reviews, and handling ad-hoc field requests for price changes. Additionally, the Pricing Analyst will serve as a member of the Pricing team involved in the analysis and effectiveness of pricing, communicating to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities of the Pricing Analyst:
Analyzing historic data to review current pricing and sales performance in support of:
Validating price change opportunities for all channels
Understanding price simplification impact to Armstrong & Armstrong’s customer
Identifying price leaks, developing on-going monitoring processes and executing solutions to correct the leakage
Identifying, implementing, and communicating process improvements resulting in more effective and efficient business practices
Creating & managing tools utilized w/in the pricing, sales, and product management teams for modeling:
Pricing profitability, change impact, and breakeven
Customer portfolio management (Mix Measurement)
Leading projects in support of annual key initiatives of the business and within pricing with presentations to senior management and leadership
Measurement of pricing initiatives and communication of results through dashboards for key audiences as well as formal reports out
Mentoring new and existing Pricing Coordinators
Training and validating for Pricing Coordinators:
Price change execution
Price creation for quotes
Price list management
Price discount management
Required Qualifications of the Pricing Analyst:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field
3+ years of experience in analytical field or role, preferably pricing, sales, or market research
Mathematical skills to compute pricing discounts, margins and currency conversion
Expertise in Excel (Advanced Formulas, PivotTables, and Database Functionality) and PowerPoint
Strong analytical skills
Proactive approach/attitude to problem solving
Ability to interact with various levels of management
Strong verbal, written, and in-person communication skills appropriate for any level of an organization
Desired Qualifications of the Pricing Analyst:
Experience using global ERP systems such as SAP
Use of BI Analytical and Reporting Tools such as Tableau
Prior experience in B2B, building products, or manufacturing industry
Knowledge of order-to-cash business processes
