Position Title Safety Health & Environment Manager

We are currently seeking an SH&E Manager to support our team in Las Vegas. This individual will be responsible for managing, implementing, and monitoring safety, health and environment (SH&E) programs in a specific program and/or business area. Position may be remote / telework, and/or may require permanent assignment to domestic project location.
Ensure compliance with all company and business area SH&E policies, procedures, and practices.
Implement and coordinate company SH&E programs, including policy and procedure, training, hazard analysis, audit/assessment, permitting, recordkeeping, and inspection.
Perform assessments to ensure workplace conditions and work practices conform to SH&E standards and best practices.
Ensures workplace conditions and practices comply with applicable federal, state, local and customer/client SH&E regulations and standards evaluate, and report metrics to measure status and progress.
Perform injury and incident investigations with root cause analysis, prepare corresponding reports, and manage to closure.
Guide the activities of other SH&E professionals within business unit.
Develop plans, procedures, and policies to continuously improve SH&E programs.
Develop, coordinate, and execute an effective safety training program.
Provides management and direction in all areas of a risk assessment, loss control, regulatory compliance, and safety program.
Establishes and implements short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.
Keeps abreast of pending regulatory developments through reference sources; obtains insight on legislative agendas at state and federal levels.
Ability to accomplish results through interaction with management team and other SH&E professional within business unit, and/or on own with significant latitude and independence in assignments.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Bachelor's degree in SH&E-related field - Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or other sciences.
Five years of SH&E related experience.
Good written communication skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Position may require 50% travel, possibly to remote or austere environments.
Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) highly desired.
