Retirement & Personal Wealth Solutions (RPWS) serves the core financial needs of individual clients and plan participants by connecting our capabilities across the firm. RPWS is responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive set of personal wealth and retirement products and services through Banking, Merrill Edge and Advisory channels. RPWS provides tools and content that enables financial advisors and bankers to help their client’s live better financial lives.
An outstanding opportunity is available for an accomplished and proven Financial Wellness Specialist in the Retirement Services group. We are currently seeking an individual with a proven track record leading employee seminars for participants of companies with $10 million to $1 Billion in assets.
The Financial Wellness Specialist deepens relationships with corporate clients by delivering education to employees through seminars and one-on-one consultations. Topics include Retirement, Budgeting, Education Planning as well as Retirement Plan Utilization. Financial Wellness Specialists help employees maximize the benefits of their plan while addressing broader financial priorities and providing an implementation plan, as needed.
Conduct employee seminars and individual consultations for employees of corporate clients.
Primarily facilitate events in local markets but willingness to travel nationwide as client needs require
Represent Bank of America Merrill Lynch to our clients and their employees in best possible light as the face of the Bank to these audiences. It is imperative to display a level of expertise and confidence in the overall subject matter of retirement, savings and investing.
Help employees of our client companies understand their benefits and encourage via presentation and style to participate and utilize plans effectively.
In this role you must represent Bank in a manner that encourages measurable positive change in participant activity and financial wellness items.
You must be up to date on current events and legislative and regulatory issues.
You must prepare for all meetings in advance and understand audience; culture of company, employee demographics, etc.
Ability to collaborate with Communication Consultants on strategies for effective delivery of select client events (i.e. in person meetings, webinars, benefit fairs, etc.)
Be cognizant of industry trends; proposed and final regulations as well as current events to be able to discuss with clients or seminar attendees
Be knowledgeable about all retirement products and services
Support multiple enterprise initiatives by encouraging meeting participants to take action with effective presentation and consultation tactics
Seasoned professional with expert knowledge of the retirement business at 5-7 years experience.
Bachelors degree required, along with professional designations in investments, or benefits (strongly preferred)
Strong presentation and communication skills
Excellent grasp of retirement products and services
Self-starter with ability to work with minimal hands-on direction.
Professional presentation skills and meeting management skills.
Exceptional relationship management and organizational skills
Comfort leading seminars through webcasts and conference calls.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
Series 7 and Series 66 (or ability to obtain within 120 days); 63 & 65 are acceptable in lieu of 66
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Travel approximately 80%
