RESPONSIBILITIES

The Researcher, Global English works inthe Impact Evaluation group of the Efficacy and Research division, in theGlobal Product Organization of Pearson. We are looking for a highly motivatedand self-driven candidate to support impact evaluations for our Englishproducts and services. The position reports to the Director of ImpactEvaluation for Global Schools.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaboratewith and support the Director of Impact Evaluation to design and execute allfacets of a study (e.g., study proposal, IRB approval, instrument development,data collection, analysis, report writing, presentation of findings) to measurethe impact of Global Schools products and services on teaching and learning

  • Assembleand manage multiple datasets

  • Quantitativeand qualitative data collection and analysis

  • Supportwith maintaining constant communication with stakeholders

  • Leadon recruitment of study sites and maintaining relationships with sites

  • Supportwith Writing reports of findings and deliver presentations for research andnon-research audiences

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • BAin education, statistics, social science or a related field; MA preferred

  • Quantitativeand qualitative data collection and analysis for program evaluation

  • Developmentand administration of interviews/focus groups

  • Exceptionalproblem solving skills, willingness to learn new concepts and methodologies asneeded, quickly, and apply them to new scenarios

  • Demonstratedability to work remotely with a high degree of autonomy while also contributingto working in a dispersed but collaborative team on projects

  • Excellentoral and written communication skills to write and present findings withminimal guidance from supervisor
