Position Title Senior Environmental Planner / Project Manager

AECOM’s Environmental Planning Department is actively seeking a talented and highly competent Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager to join our dynamic Downtown Los Angeles office. The appropriately qualified candidate should be highly experienced with CEQA and NEPA and have worked on and managed environmental projects of varying sizes.
They should also be comfortable with all aspects of project management, including client interaction, multi-disciplinary project team management, project controls, and technical excellence.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Direct client interaction
Proactive business development
Preparation of competitive proposals responding to RFPs/RFQs

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Geography, or similar related field
8+ years of related experience
Ability to coordinate and manage large-scale environmental and permitting projects and applying environmental regulations
Technical expertise in CEQA/NEPA
Proven project management and client management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experienced “seller-doer” with existing relationships with public agencies in Los Angeles County preferred
Strong writing and analytical skills and experience preparing scopes of work, budgets, proposals, and schedules
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to speak effectively in public
Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Geography, or similar related field.
15+ years of experience is preferred
Experience with utility and/or transportation projects
Ability to mentor and lead less experienced staff
