Eaton Corporation Test Track Supervisor in Marshall, Michigan

Eaton’s Vehicle Division is seeking a Test Track Supervisor. The Test Track Supervisor will be based in Marshall, MI.

Positon Overview:

The Test Track Supervisor will be responsible for managing the test vehicle driver team (employees and contractors) to driving common processes and tool utilization. The supervisor will be responsible for coordinating work with various product groups that require testing at the facility, coordinate customer and internal events, and support driver career development.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and motivate team of approximately 8-10 employees to achieve established goals across three shifts.

  • Leverage the support of shift leaders across the operation management.

  • Proactively implement, promote and maintain a safe working environment, through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and Zero Incident culture enforcement.

  • Participate/lead in the national and campus committee for proving ground safety

  • Interface with key stakeholders in program management and engineering to schedule use of the test track facilities in line with the program needs.

  • Assist participate/lead the coordination of customer events held at the test track facility to demonstrate new technology in vehicles.

  • Manage contingent (contract) driver resources as required by project demands.

  • Conducts regular performance evaluations for direct reports. Continually assess career goals and create appropriate development plans for team members

  • Support, communicate and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization.

  • Apply appropriate Eaton Business System (EBS) processes and problem solving tools.

  • This role will be on call over all three shifts.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business discipline from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in manufacturing, engineering, or business.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills

  • Prior leader of people or programs experience.

  • Prior experience in a production or proving ground environment.

  • Prior customer facing experience.

  • General understanding of vehicle mechanics.

  • Commercial Driver’s License, if candidate does not have one then one will need to be obtained upon start of the role.

Position Criteria:

  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.

  • Proficient in Microsoft office tools (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Facilitate communication across all three shifts.
