Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a Clinical Nutrition Manager position at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. Memorial Hospital is a 220 bed acute care facility that includes an Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. This facility is located in Martinsville, VA not far from Greensboro, NC and Roanoke, VA.The Clinical Nutrition Manager will report directly to the General Manager.

The ideal candidate will report to the General Manager:
Will have strong clinical nutrition skills and be able to establish proactive relationships with the clinical team and nursing staff.
Be responsible for the clinical program, outpatient medical nutrition therapy, direct care of patients, as well as provide oversight for regulatory and accreditation preparation and visits.
Additional responsibilities will include training and education of staff and personnel, and working with the food and nutrition management team to achieve patient satisfaction goals.
Candidates should have excellent communications and strong customer service skills.
Will have a health and wellness background as well as experience conducting education classes for patients and families.
Ability to communicate effectively with clinical staff and physicians.
Experience with electronic health records is ideal.
Candidate should be Serv Safe certified.

Typically manages a small, one registered dietitian account. Has mostly direct patient care responsibilities. May have patient food service responsibilities. Responsible for meeting TJC/state/federal and company standards. This position is the primary liaison with the medical and nursing staff.
Functions as the in-unit lead Clinical leader for a small - medium account. Manages the daily operations of nutrition services through direct supervision of both non-exempt employees and entry-level exempt professional employees.
- Directs daily operations of nutrition programs and ensure customer and client satisfaction levels are met.
-May provide direct nutrition care to population served
-Executes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments; and collects and reports outcomes.
-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction for nutrition services and promotes nutrition services.
-. - Manages employees to ensure they meet goals, cost controls deadlines, and collect outcomes.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel).
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
