CACI International Senior Systems Architect in Mclean, Virginia

Job Description:


· Analyze and document the architecture of IT solutions

· Facilitate and lead the business capabilities and systems' requirements analysis

· Responsible for translating business requirements into IT solutions while taking into account the constraints imposed by the existing systems and architectures

· Ensure that the systems architecture aligns with the roadmaps established by the organization's enterprise architecture

· Design content management and workflow solutions

· Responsible for standards and technologies for enabling systems performance qualities, such as availability, scalability, and recoverability

· Lead the design and management of server, middleware, and data storage and manipulation platforms

· Perform custom software systems design and development as needed

· Responsible for data modeling, database design, and high level ETL process design

· Responsible for design of business intelligence, data visualization, predictive analytics solutions

· Research, assessment, and adoption of emerging and new technologies and paradigms


· At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in the area of systems design and development

· At least 5 years of professional hands-on experience with architecture viewpoints and perspectives, non-functional qualities of systems, Waterfall and Agile development methodologies, Service Oriented architecture, microservices architecture, Cloud Computing (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), scalable and multi-tier applications, design patterns

· At least 5 years of experience with using standardized modelling languages and notations such as UML, ArchiMate, and BPMN

· At least 5 years of experience with hardware and software components implementation, configuration, and integration across multiple platforms, including MS Windows, Unix, and z/OS

· At least 5 years of experience with relational database technologies and database design

· Technical understanding of networking protocols, MS Active Directory and DNS operation and configuration, and IT systems security principles

· Demonstrated ability to perform full life cycle software development using one or more modern platforms and languages (MS .NET/C#, JEE/ Java, C++, etc)

· Ability to quickly understand stakeholder needs and articulate technical concepts and solutions

· Excellent communications, teamwork, and conflict management skills

· Commitment to continuous learning in order to stay up-to-date with technological developments and changes

· Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or engineering

· US citizenship and ability to pass a background investigation


· Experience with the IBI FOCUS, WebFocus, and iWay suite of tools

· EA certification

· Prior work experience with Big Data concepts, technologies, and tools

· Prior work experience with platform virtualization solutions (Citrix, …)

· Prior work experience with scripting solutions (shell scripts, PowerShell, …)


Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
