8 Month Maternity Contract About the role As a Desktop Manager you will be responsible to coordinate, manage and perform technology support across multiple operating companies and geographic locations within the Pacific region.

You will also be responsible for providing guidance / technical solutions that address business and office requirements and provide support to end users by installing and assisting with the operation of their workstations, business applications, and related equipment.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

Proactively meeting with office leadership on a quarterly basis

Following up on quarterly meetings and shares results with Regional Technology Manager

Managing field support operations through internal staff and external vendor support groups within assigned geographic market

Managing support for all office infrastructure technologies across all tiers within agreed timeframes or SLAs

Ensuring infrastructure systems are maintained in accordance with service owner guidelines and are in compliance with Business Continuity agreements

Ensuring staff follows operational guidelines, principles, and processes as described by senior management

Collaborating with peers and senior managers to define, enhance, and adhere to defined processes for all operational tasks

Assisting in the installation, training, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of desktop technology hardware and software

Determines appropriate hardware and software based on corporate policy and end user requirements

Responds to incidents within SLA or within a timely manner with appropriate level of urgency, and follows up with customers on all issues

Escalating incidents and questions to appropriate support groups

Assisting in disconnecting, moving and reconnecting desktop technology hardware for single user, multi-user and office moves Qualifications Skills and experience Ideally, prior experience in a large complex environment, managing a small team within an IT department A minimum of three to five years of experience managing staff Knowledge of company desktop operating systems and software Ability to lead and work within a team environment Ability to independently plan, organize and prioritize activities Strong written and oral communications Ability to coach and develop and encourage high performance Microsoft or other certifications desired (i.e. MSCDT, MCP, MCSE) If this sounds like the challenge you are looking please submit your CV to Parisa Holden by applying to the link provided.
