This is an exciting opportunity in Memphis, Tennessee for a Maintenance Manager. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Manages the planning and execution of the preventive, predictive, and condition based maintenance of production equipment.

  • Manages Maintenance Engineers and related departmental activities; establishes performance standards; formulates staff development plans; coaches and motivates staff; provides guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates works assignments considering employee skills and development needs.

  • Partners with Facilities, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering on problem identification, trouble shooting and equipment issue resolution and repair.

  • Identifies training needs for team and line employees, conducts training; coaches and trains line employees on new maintenance processes.

  • Identifies opportunities to support continuous improvement initiatives; drives change in the department.

  • Provides technical consultation and advice to staff and project teams.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience

10 years maintenance experience, including at least 2 years supervisory experience, required.

Responsible for day-to-day management and execution of all aspects of HSE compliance related to equipment and facilities maintenance, including but not limited to:

  • Lockout Tagout (LOTO)

  • Electrical Safety

  • Work at Height and Ladder Safety

  • Confined Space Entry

  • Hot Work

  • Contractor Safety

  • Responsible for management and execution of equipment inspection & PM components of Hoist and Crane Safety compliance.

  • Responsible for management and execution of equipment inspection & PM components of Machine Guarding compliance.

  • Responsible for management and execution of the Cummins apprenticeship program.

  • Previous experience managing a unionized workforce desired.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification desired.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience plus annualized bonus potential.
