Averitt Express Dock Worker in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Our dock associates are the backbone of our facilities. Using digital scanners and top-notch modern equipment, they manage the day-to-day loading and unloading of freight throughout our system in a safe and professional atmosphere. Due to the familiarity with how we work, they make great candidates for operational leaders when new positions open.

-forklift experience preferred

-associates may enter our paid dock to driver training program for further career advancement

Position would work Monday-Friday.

Split shift or 2nd shift positions available.

2nd shift works 3:30pm-11:00pm.

Split shift works 6am-9am and 4pm-10pm.

Dock Worker Functions:

Load/Unload freight -lift requirement: 80 lbs

Move freight - force requirement: 54 lbs

Open/Close trailer door - force requirement: 46 lbs

Operate forklift

  • 18 years of age

  • No convictions for Reckless Driving within the past 5 years

  • Valid Driver's License

  • No convictions for DUI within the past 5 years

  • No suspensions or revocations within the past 5 years

  • No more than3 moving violations within the past 3 years
