Kaiser Permanente Managing Director Special Projects Healthcare and Clinical Operations in Modesto, California

This position will lead highly visible, complex and politically risky turnaround/improvement projects that are of strategic importance to the company. In this role, this position will oversee the development and execution of the agreed upon action plans and deliverables. This position will also oversee, design, support, and lead any necessary communication and governance/oversight mechanisms required to ensure effective delivery of promised deliverables.

Essential Functions: - This position will be viewed as the primary point person accountable for ensuring that necessary action plans and deliverables are completed in a timely, cost effective, operationally effective manner. - While this person may not be directly responsible for an operating area, this position will be expected to work through conferred authority from the sponsoring executive, as well as personal influence to ensure that agreed upon objectives are met. - This position will determine goals and priorities with sponsoring senior executives, as well as develop proposals outlining proposed project structure, approach and work plan. - This position will oversee or be responsible for designing research plans for data gathering and analysis. - This position will also be responsible for interpreting analysis and will ensure the effective coordination, approval and implementation of appropriate action plans. - Depending on the scope and magnitude of the issue, this position will be directly responsible for leading a group of consultants, project managers, and analysts focused on the delivery of services/products within the responsible technical unit. - This position will also provide direction to content experts of the responsible technical area. - Provide leadership and expert consultation on the design, development, and implementation of programs related to the expertise area. - While providing overall strategic direction for complex projects may also assume the role as the manager of one or more technical units. - Has ultimate responsibility for ensuring client satisfaction and through management staff will develop standards, procedures, policies, and timely and accurate reporting processes designed to meet the clients needs. - On an ad-Hoc basis, this position will providing thought leadership to sponsoring executives regarding emerging strategic opportunities, as well as ongoing operational issues and challenges.

Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Experience - Minimum ten (10) years of experience in one of the technical areas required and project management. Education - Master's degree in business administration, economics, healthcare administration, public health, health policy and management or related discipline ORsix (6)years of experience in a directly related field. - High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. Licenses, Certifications, Registrations - N/A.
