Eaton Corporation Engineering Supervisor in Moon Township, Pennsylvania
Eaton’s Residential Wiring Devices Division is hiring an Engineering Supervisor. The Engineering Supervisor would be based from our Moon Township, PA facility.
Responsible for the supervision of the NPI/NPD engineering team. Manage resources to accomplish on time delivery of new product developments, lead product efficiency improvements. Work with other functions to develop product roadmap, manage capital expenses
Attain new product development excellence goals, innovation, safety, quality and cost. Drive continuous improvement and provide technical support to Customers, Engineering, Marketing, and Manufacturing. Determine product specifications, personnel and equipment required to fulfill customer/business needs and expectations.
Ensure development and implementation of IoT products/platforms, drive continuous improvement tools, identify capital projects and drive changes in facilities to ensure safe work environment.
Obtain and Maintain product certification
Responsible to coordinate and supervise the Engineering team (Engineers, designers and technicians).
Manage existing and new engineering process area to attain technology excellence.
Plan, direct and coordinate actions to support NPD/ProLaunch processes to assure attainment of dicvision goals.
Provide direction through direct involvement in order to implement industrialization of new processes and products.
Follow up continuous improvement activities within Engineering.
Plan, develop and implement goals for:
Safety, Health and Environmental Impact Improvement
Develop strategies for optimization of the production layouts
Prepare and review capital appropriations request for all projects, and audit payback results.
Lead Cost –Out initiatives for the division
Lead efforts to drive a culture for Innovation,
Lead roadmap focused around IoT projects
Oversight of the labs to assure safety and product certification.
Provide support to customers and Marketing based on business needs.
Coordinate cross-functional activities to identify and adopt best Practices in facility
Manage capacity plan and work with engineering team from other sites.
Utilize innovation events to drive new technologies, cost reductions and improve existing product performance
Works directly with employees at all levels at the facility to implement improvements
Maintain and promote internal and external customer focus for all employees. Improve engineering performance through the utilization, training, and deployment of Eaton Business System tools.
Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS):
Execute 100% of monthly safety inspection, in coordination with the EHS team.
Assist to all EHS training assigned.
Promote and promulgate all EHS Process and Policies to all the employees under his/her supervisor and ensure that they are being honored.
Provide all resources needed to ensure that all EHS policies and procedures all performed by his/her personal under his/her supervision.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited institution
Minimum 5 years of electronic engineering experience or a combination of electrical and electronic engineering experience will be considered.
Experience designing and developing software and hardware (digital and analog electronic circuit design)
Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship.
- Ability to travel up to 25%
2 years’ Experience in the development of IoT products/tools
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
Project Management Knowledge.
PC knowledge: CAD tools, PADs or other PCB Design tools, and Microsoft Office.

Computer knowledge: MS Office, Familiarity with CAD tools – PROE, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent (and drawing interpretation skills), AS400
Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control), Lean, 6 Sigma.
Strong computer science fundamentals including algorithms and data structures.
Contribute to the design and development of the IoT platforms across a variety of chip architectures.
Have a good grasp over network programming and interfacing with Cloud and web services.
Experience in several web frameworks, languages. Knowledge on the following: Linux, Networking, and C
