Position Title Air Quality Scientist/Engineer

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Environmental Scientist or Engineer with Air Quality experience for immediate employment in the Morrisville, NC office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Executing projects involving air quality-related environmental compliance services including performing studies and analyses, regulatory research, auditing, creating spreadsheets, and compiling and writing reports and other documents

  • Lead tasks and execute projects while meeting cost, schedule, safety, and quality objectives

  • Effectively lead project teams by coordinating and communicating with project team members, other project managers, and other AECOM offices

  • Support the professional development and growth of junior level staff

  • Compliance projects related to other environmental media may also be supported, as the candidate's qualifications allow

  • Manage Projects and/or Tasks - will train to achieve AECOM Project Manager Certification

  • Provide technical support to existing clients

  • Support marketing efforts for new and existing clients

  • Complete projects on time and accurately

  • Promote and demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude

  • Strategic regulatory analysis

  • Interface with regulators

  • Develop technical presentations

  • Conduct internal technical reviews and detail checks

  • Negotiate permit conditions with regulatory agencies

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of control technologies in achieving emission reductions and the cost of controls

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline

  • 4+ years of Air Quality consulting experience

  • Industrial Air Quality permitting experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional engineering license a plus
