This is a great opportunity to join us for this exciting period of growth.Job DescriptionAs an Analytics Engineer, you will be part of a team the analytics & the visualization elements of our innovative cloud solutions. You will look for new ways to harness the data we have for insights and actionable outcomes. You will be part of a data engineering or cross-disciplinary team on commercially-facing development projects, typically involving large, complex data sets. These teams typically include statisticians, computer scientists, software developers, engineers, product managers, and end users..
Develop reports utilizing advanced data visualization techniques and related SQL with overall responsibility for implementation and support.
Leverage Data Lake and data virtualization technologies to deliver new cloud offerings
Work on an agile team to quickly prototype and iterate on ideas
Lead the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities
Write SQL to explore source data, data issues, etc. Identify impact on existing model/ solution triggered by new/changed requirements.
Query data from a wide array of databases
Translate business requirements into technical solution. Assess requirements for completeness and accuracy and work with requirement providers to close issues and gaps.
Develop peer, cross-functional and business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent (STEM) or equivalent knowledge and experience with proven years of experience as data engineer.
1-2 years of experience writing complex SQL
1-2 of experience with BI visualization and/or reporting tools (Expert level knowledge of Modern BI like Cognos, Tableau etc.).
1-2 years’ experience programming ETL programs using standard languages or tools (Informatica, Data Stage, Oracle or equivalent).
1-2 years’ experience performing data analysis and profiling, and designing ETL systems/programs.
Understanding of data integration best practices, leading industry applications and features such as master data management, entity resolution, data quality assessment, metadata management, etc.
Understanding of data warehouse best practices.
Good communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with other technical teams, project management, client management and business analysts.
Experience of the health and human services industry an advantage
Understands basic functionality and interoperability of product modules / components.
Articulates the value proposition of existing technology capabilities and maps them to customer requirements to minimize incremental cost of development.
