_HOUSEKEEPER/ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES SUPERVISOR_ Work Schedule: Every Weekend - Day Shift (7 am-3:30 pm) with 2 days off on weekdays _ _ _POSITION SUMMARY_: Under the direction of the Director of Environmental Services, incumbent is responsible for directing, coordinating and supervising the work of cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly and attractive conditions in the hospital. Assists the department director in planning, inspecting of an interacts with other departments.

_POSITION QUALIFCATIONS_:

  1. Education: a. Two years of college education and/or courses in Executive Housekeeping is desirable.

  2. Experience: a. Must have two years experience as Environmental Services attendant. b. Previous health care experience preferred. c. Experience in supervisor or directing activities preferred.

  3. Physical Requirements: a. Must be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time throughout the day. b. Must be able to squat occasionally. c. Must be able to bend, kneel, and reach frequently. d. May be exposed to changes of temperature or humidity occasionally. e. Will be exposed to dust, fumes or gases occasionally. f. Will be near moving machinery occasionally. g. May be required to work from heights and to climb ladders occasionally. h. Must be able to lift and carry up to 24 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. i. Must be able to push or pull up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. j . Must be in good general health. k. Performs tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues, but employment may require performing unplanned Category A tasks as defined by the Blood Borne pathogen Exposure Plan.
