The ideal candidate will facilitate and coordinate construction related activities and projects as well as coordinate and supervise various crafts and trades staff. Successful candidate will research construction shutdowns and alert the affected departments. Assists Engineering Department Managers and outside contractors with construction related activities and maintains appropriate documentation in the Engineering Department. Purchases materials, equipment and supplies as required.
High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Knowledge of electrical engineering and plumbing as normally acquired through completion of two (2) years of college, vocational or technical school.
Master's license in a trade, preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible related including three (1) years experience in trades supervision.
Familiarity with blueprint reading and computer aided design and PeopleSoft for purchasing requirements, required.
Ability to respond to emergency situations and make appropriate decisions under pressure.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Medical Center personnel.
