As an Informatics Fellow you will under the mentorship of a NSLIJ manager, participate in assigned activities and projects as defined by the NSLIJ Clinical Information Technology fellowship program. You may complete program-end project.
Participates in rotational assignments involving EMR, CPOE, Interoperability and Business Intelligence.
In-patient EMR and CPOE deployment and optimization focusing on either Hospital or Health System applications;
Out-patient EMR deployment and optimization activities.
Electronic Health Record Interoperability;
Business intelligence including reporting and analytics.
Participates in clinical elective rotations including Pharmacy IS, Meaningful Use/EMR initiatives, EDIS, Specialty EMR, IT Project management and/or Quality Informatics & Evidenced Base Medicine.
Conducts and completes assignments and projects during course of the program.
May complete program-end project for submission to an academic publication.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biomedical Informatics, Healthcare Administration or related field, required. Master’s Degree, preferred.
Previous clinical training and/or experience, required
