Consumer Insights Manager, Energy & Resources

If your answer to these questions was “yes”, Sodexo Energy & Resources is offering an excellent opportunity for a Consumer Insights Manager, North America & Europe to support our Offshore & Marine, Onshore Oil & Gas, Energy & Constructions, Mining business segments where we deliver a wide range of top-quality, fully integrated services: camp design, administrative services, light and technical maintenance, security, waste management, food services, sport and cultural activities, wellness and motivational programs and more.

The Consumer Insights Manager is an integral member of the Energy & Resources and Regional Marketing management team and will help the company identify the consumers, track the consumer’s journey, buying patterns and expectations. This manager will then help to develop new innovative offerings so we can successfully align our products and services with consumer and client expectations.

The successful Consumer & Clients Insights Manager will:

  • Develop an understanding of consumer needs and satisfaction drivers in order to identify the opportunities to create value for / improve the quality of life of individuals working and living in our targeted clients’ sites

  • Create and utilize qualitative and quantitative survey techniques to collect needed data

  • Rely on internal & external “big data” & knowledge s/he will collect, produce and analyze

  • Build business cases that will influence the segment leadership team

  • Support the definition of the offer & service requirement briefs and the validation of these briefs from a client and consumer perspective

  • Provide input to segment strategy from the perspective of consumer and client needs along with satisfaction drivers

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3 years’ experience in consumer research and research project cycle

  • General understanding of statistical and data processing methods

  • Working knowledge of with web-based research tools and statistical analysis is a plus (R software, SPAD, SPSS)

Up to 4K in relocation assistance is available with this position!

It is preferred that this manager reside in Houston, Texas but consideration will also be given to reside in New Orleans, Louisiana. This manager must be able to travel up to 30% within the US, Canada and throughout Europe (more often specifically to the UK).

Position Summary

Sodexo Energy & Resources is offering an excellent opportunity for a Consumer & Client Insight Manager, North America & Europe to support our Energy & Resources business segment where we deliver a wide range of fully integrated services such as food services, hospitality, wellness, sport and cultural activities, security, waste management, and more. The Consumer & Client Insight Manager is an integral member of the Regional Marketing management team.

The successful Consumer & Clients Insights Manager will collect and analyze consumer and client insights to deliver actionable recommendations to help build a strong innovation pipeline of Quality of Life services and retail concepts. He/She will provide a day to day voice of the consumer in the business dialogue and provide a holistic business point of view beyond the research findings. The targeted clients are Oil & Gas (offshore and onshore), Mining and Engineering & Construction companies and the targeted consumers are their employees.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in marketing or related field
