Job Summary

The NYC office of AECOM is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join our Transportation Infrastructure Department. The successful candidate will work jointly with an experienced Project Manager on a variety of transportation, site/civil, and utility projects for municipal, state, and private clients.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Roadway and highway reconstruction

  • Sewer and water design

  • Site development

  • Storm Drainage and Green Infrastructure

The position will be based in NYC and is geared toward those looking to take the next step in their professional development.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • 5+ years of related experience

  • PE Certification

  • Roadway and site/civil design experience in the NY Metro Area

  • Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or Microstation/InRoads

  • Familiar with NY agency design standards and specifications

  • Solid oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work well in a team setting

  • Flexibility to work on a variety of projects and tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • New York State PE Certification

  • Demonstrated DDC, EDC, DOT, and/or PANYNJ experience

  • Site/Civil experience for private and public clients in NY/NJ

  • Experience developing and meeting schedules, scopes, and budgets
