Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Risk Analyst for employment in the New York, NY office. AECOM is pleased to include you in a unique development opportunity, the Graduate Development Program (GDP). This program is designed to support your assimilation into the organization and assist with creating a foundation of knowledge for a successful career at AECOM. The program also has learning activities that will be available to you, including webinars and on-line programs. This is a part-time variable position, meaning work days and times will be determined on an as-needed basis.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide the Risk Manager and Risk Associate with technical and analytical support and data analysis

  • Review project documents (project description, drawings, cost estimate, schedule, etc.)

  • Facilitate risk interviews and workshops

  • Creation and maintenance of risk registers

  • Analysis of project risk data (risk probabilities and cost and schedule impact ranges)

  • Prepare risk models, conducting analytical quantitative risk analysis and writing risk reports

  • Cost contingency management, contingency planning, escalation studies, etc.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management

  • Strong mathematical background, especially in the areas of probability and statistics (random variables, probability distributions, correlation, etc.)

  • Strong analytics and use of MS Excel

  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence visualization concepts

  • Understanding of construction management fundamentals, project scheduling, cost estimating and project controls

  • General understanding of the engineering and construction industry and programs/projects life cycle

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management

  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence visualization software such as Power BI, Tableau, etc

  • Familiarity with Monte Carlo simulation and any experience with applicable software, such as @Risk, Pertmaster, Crystal Ball, and/or Active Risk Manager
