IBM Marketing Segment Leader, Insurance in NEW YORK, New York

You have the proven ability to lead small, agile teams and a network of marketing teams around the world in order to drive consideration, sales, and loyalty across a set of clients, prospects and influencers that you will help to define. You are an all around marketing expert with a solid understanding of how technology is being leveraged to address the business needs of Insurance companies. You have experience with external analysts, industry associations, standards bodies, and are ready to develop new relationships in the start-up community to achieve results. In this capacity your responsibilities include working with peer marketers, regional marketing leadership, and senior business development executives across IBM to: - Cultivate and maintain a thorough understanding of the rapidly evolving market, business drivers, competition, and IBM capabilities in order to identify, develop, and capture existing and emerging markets, segments, and buyers- Collaborate with peer marketers and business development to drive awareness and consideration of IBM and business partner offerings in the rapidly evolving InsureTech ecosystem- Manage a diverse portfolio of IBM and partner capabilities that integrate the IBM key growth initiatives, IBM brand offerings, IBM Research, and partnerships such as Apple, SalesForce, VMWare, and Twitter in order to define a differentiated set of IBM Solutions for the Insurance Industry- Support the development of strategy, market segmentation, marketing business plans, buyer profiles and cohorts, and marketing campaigns that are designed to direct investments and create demand for IBM’s industry expertise and capabilities- Develop and maintain the insurance industry messaging for the function including value propositions, key messages, industry imperatives, and differentiators- Create compelling and provocative industry points of view, references, and case studies that form the basis for the paid, owned, and earned aspects of IBM industry campaigns- Provide strategic direction and consultations for colleagues in market research, analyst relations, internal communications and seller enablement, demand generation, content marketing, advertising, external communications, and agency partners that are consistent with the industry solutions, points of view, and IBM’s brand quality differentiators- Evolve the use of story telling including development of industry personas and journeys to contextualize IBM in relation to real business scenarios, functional roles and buying cohorts- Use business and marketing metrics to understand strengths and weaknesses in the go-to-market mix and partner with demand programs and content marketing to develop appropriate responses that outperform the competitionThe Financial Services Global Marketing Segment Leaders are located in IBM offices in New York City, NY.Must have the ability to work in the US without current/future need for IBM sponsorship.Do work that matters.Discover your true potential.Be yourself DPT1

  • 10+ years experience in b2b technology marketing

  • Proven ability to lead teams that translate business requirements into digitally enabled marketing campaigns

  • Demonstrated internal and external communications skills

  • Branding and visual design acumen

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and synthesize inputs from performance marketing and CRM systems to direct marketing disciplines
