Verizon Product Management and Development Specialist in New York, New York

What you’ll be doing...

  • Ongoing supervision and management of planned programs to ensure quality standards, timelines and targets are all met

  • Ongoing analysis and insight generation of the MDU market trends, key segments, & competitive dynamics

  • Development of strategies that will deliver lift in new customer sales, stronger loyalty and customer upsells

  • Identification of marketing tactics that will drive performance. Tactics could include direct mail, email, digital media, social media, local out-of-home, local events, referral programs, key influencer programs, etc.

  • Lead overall marketing planning process including plan development, approval and communications process across the Verizon organization

  • Develop strategy & program briefs to be communicated to critical support teams

  • Provide direction to key teams supporting tactical marketing communications efforts and program management

  • Ongoing alignment with critical Verizon teams & players within Corporate Marketing, Product Development, National Marketing, Branding, etc.

  • Manage & optimize local programs (Events, Activations, Stunts, Apartment Property Engagement, etc.)

  • Manage ad agencies to deliver on key marketing assignments

  • Partner with analytics organization to track, monitor and report plan performance and opportunities to improve/optimize

  • Conduct frequent read-outs on your defined market territory to peer and senior level managers

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Strong strategic thinking skills with experience in developing successful Marketing Communication campaigns.

  • Solid understanding of Marketing Analytics to develop and interpret insights.

  • Experience developing and adhering to tactical plans to meet organizational objectives.

  • Previous experience in direct marketing, digital media/marketing or local engagement.

  • Ability to use creative thinking in a fast paced, results-driven environment while adapting marketing messaging to different sub-markets.

  • Proven ability to successfully manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Self-starter: independently problem solve and work with cross functional teams and agencies after initial direction on the assignment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong capabilities with PowerPoint & Excel computer software.

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Marketing, Communications or related field, preferred.
