Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a fully competent Project Electrical Engineer II/ Project Electrical Engineer III in all conventional aspects of the subject matter of the functional area of the assignments.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope for the respective specialty

  • Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice, but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements

  • Maintain effective liaison with the client as needed

  • Initiate and complete the correction of any conditions which may adversely affect the completion of the project on schedule and within budget

  • Keep abreast of new scientific methods and developments in his/her specific field

  • Oversee and supervise assigned departmental personnel on projects and monitor their individual technical performance, providing guidance and direction, as needed.

  • Take necessary actions to ensure the project proceeds on schedule and within budget limitations

  • Review shop drawings and Requests for Information (RFIs)

  • Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation

  • Selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria

  • Devises new approaches to problems encountered

Minimum Requirements

Project Electrical Engineer II

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in design of transportation, aviation, marine, industrial facilities as well as buildings

  • Expertise should include high tension service substation design, medium and low voltage power distribution, system protections, breakers and motor controls, lighting design, fire alarm design and low voltage design

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit 3D modeling, and Power System Analysis Software

Project Electrical Engineer III

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in design of transportation, aviation, marine, industrial facilities as well as buildings

  • Expertise should include high tension service substation design, medium and low voltage power distribution, system protections, breakers and motor controls, lighting design, fire alarm design and low voltage design

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit 3D modeling, and Power System Analysis Software
