Position Description:

This position will be responsible for developing automated, routine reporting and supporting ad-hoc requests for information and analysis initiated by wholesale Credit Risk Managers. The successful candidate will have a proven background in reporting and data analysis, strong written and verbal communication skills, extensive experience in database, SQL queries and reporting software such as SQL Server Reporting Services, and a thorough understanding of Financial Institutions, Commercial Lending, Traded Products (such as derivatives, repo and securities lending etc.) and Credit Risk Management. The candidate must be able to respond to requests for information by asking pertinent, clarifying questions, identifying the relevant data needed to satisfy the request and presenting the information to the requestor in a clear and concise manner. Candidate will have an understanding of internal credit information systems, relational database design and knowledge of how to use various BI tools (such as Microstrategy and Tableau, etc.) to access multiple information sources for analytical purposes.

Enterprise Role Overview:

Responsible for performing complex analysis and is engaged in the development of modeling that maximizes profits and asset growth and minimizes credit and operating losses and other risk exposures. Provides analytical support on various product strategies to ensure company goals are met. Coordinates the production of performance reports for senior mgt. Reviews and analyzes trends in current population distributions and recommends strategies. May participate in or develop complex program models to extract data and use databases to provide statistical and financial modelling. Master's degree or large data experience preferred; Programming experience like SQL, SAS preferred and/or Micro Strategy experience preferred. Minimum of 5 years' experience.

Required Skills:

Must have 5+ years of relevant Financial Institution experience with traded products, OTC derivatives, securities financing, commercial credit risk management and reporting or risk technology.

Very solid SQL skills and experience using SQL Server, Netezza, Teradata or Sybase.

Advanced Excel skills, including data import, pivot tables, lookups and data analysis.

Solid analytical skills - must be able to learn how to navigate systems, access data, reconcile numbers from different sources, identify discrepancies and understand drivers of change within data.

Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical business teams.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Understanding of Risk Management Practices and Policies

In-Depth understanding and use of Business Intelligence applications and reporting tools.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of Bank of America systems ARCTIC, EVEREST and/or Credit Studio

Understanding of derivative potential exposure, capital measures, CVA, sensitivities and stress testing

Understanding of Repo, Reverse Repo and Securities Lending transactions

Understanding of central clearing concepts

Understanding of Commercial Lending
