FreeWheel is hiring a Senior Product Manager based in either San Francisco or New York to oversee ongoing enhancements and strategic direction of its Revenue Management (RM) product. Revenue Management is a key area that touches important financial aspects in the exciting area of premium video advertising.

In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and development of the system that enables clients to manage their advertiser and agency billing, revenue, and invoices. The successful candidate will engage with clients, engineers, marketing, sales, services, and product management while solving client issues and developing the next level of the RM product. The successful candidate will also be responsible for setting the strategic direction and long term roadmap of the RM product. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Own end-to-end ideation, design, and delivery of the features and technologies that enable FreeWheel RM clients to manage their advertiser and agency billing, revenue streams, and invoicing

Define product strategy, direction and roadmap of FreeWheel RM product

Identify new product opportunities from industry trends and challenges, and perform market/competitive analysis within revenue management space to inform product decisions and roadmap

Holistically understand core business problems and requirements from clients, prospects, sales and support to invent efficient and useful solutions

Oversee engineering team's product development efforts, and ensure the built product is functional, operational, and meets product design and feature specifications requirements, using scrum agile methodologies

Partner with various functions within the organization including sales, marketing, advisory services, client solutions to successfully position product and features for client launch and deployment

Use limited resources effectively by building business cases for new products/features and prioritizing needs based on team's objectives. Clearly highlight business case assumptions and suggest ways to vet assumptions prior to further investment

Define and consistently measure quantifiable success metrics of owned products with each feature

Consistently exercise independent sound judgment and discretion in matters of significance

Maintain a general awareness and understanding of the advertising/media operations and cable TV/content-providers landscape, including vendors, partners, and new dynamic web-advertising technologies, with a focus on revenue management

Project manage and understand critical paths/dependencies for delivering and launching products on time and within scope

Position requires approximately 15% time for travel (domestic and international)

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 5 years of Product Management or equivalent experience with successful history of delivering customer-oriented and complex solutions in a fast-moving environment, ideally in the digital advertising space

A bachelor's or higher degree in computer science, math, or engineering is strongly preferred

Understanding of accounting and financial concepts is strongly preferred. Previous experience working with financial billing systems is a major plus

Experience across the product management lifecycle for enterprise products or services

Proven ability to quickly learn, understand, and expand complex products, processes, and concepts

Experience understanding and digesting client requests, filtering and translating requests into detailed designs, and guiding engineering through implementation

Ability to quickly adapt to change in marketplace, development process, and priorities

Outstanding project management skills and strong attention to detail

Must be able to develop an excellent grasp of the strategic, competitive and economic dimensions of our clients' businesses
