As a Watson Health - Life Sciences Sales Executive - Research & Development you will be selling and closing deals for solutions that will transform healthcare with cognitive computing. You will be an industry expert, someone who is looked upon to lead the way and navigate change. Your responsibilities include:

  • Working with the world’s leading Life Sciences (Pharma, Biotech, and Medical Device) companies to open doors and identify opportunities to transform key business functions with data and cognitive insights.

  • Defining and delivering the value proposition for cognitive solutions and data in support of an R&D transformation through a knowledge and data driven approach

  • Leading the negotiation of pricing, terms and conditions, and other key agreement components.

  • Managing the client relationship from ideation to implementation.

  • Applying your functional and life sciences expertise and your passion to help our clients transform every part of their core business.

  • Being part of a high performing team that is at the forefront of the cognitive computing era in Life Sciences.

  • Leading and closing large deals that require C-suite alignment and engagement.

  • Leading the growth of our international Watson Health Sales expansion.

Our team is looking for members who encompass the following:

  • Understanding how to navigate complex solutioning and contract negotiations.

  • Proven ability to lead and scale global organizations to achieve success in a repeatable manner, including globalizing key offerings.

  • Proven high performing, experienced sellers who can engage with customers, build relationships and have the business acumen and strategic thinking to identify business challenges and how to solve them.

  • Highly analytical, strategic thinker with the ability to translate between strategic business decisions and their implications.

  • Compelling story tellers who can demonstrate the vision, power, and scope of cognitive computing.

  • Ability to assess the territory potential, build a Go-To-Market (GTM) plan, and execute that plan.

  • Proven track record of selling to stake holders at the C-suite level.

  • Experience leading/executing Research & Development strategy and initiatives

  • Experience selling SaaS solutions and Services.

  • At least 5 years of experience in Life Sciences company in R&D functional area/discpline with focus on drug discovery

  • Experience leading sales in global organizations, with sales and/or marketing experience in emerging solutions, preferably involving life sciences or health care solutions

  • At least 5 years of experience in working with cross functional teams building and executing sales and go-to-market strategy and delivering strategic value

  • At least 5 years selling and closing multi-million multi-year deals in the Life Sciences industry

  • At least 5 years of experience in identifying and nurturing partnerships at a C-suite level
