Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Instructional Designer to join our team in Norfolk. The successful candidate will design and develop original computer-based training (CBT) / Instructional Multimedia Instruction (IMI) modules for a variety of customer and Company-required subjects. Additionally the job requires the development of training materials from the Front-End Analysis work through the successful course pilot.

Essential Responsibilities Include: 

  1. Design and develop training for the Navy using Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM) Content Planning Module (CPM) and Learning Objective (LO) Module Software.

  2. Analyze customer requirements and interface with Subject Matter experts in the creation, revision, and presentation of multi-media training events.

  3. Design pre- and post-testing instruments for CBT/IMI and AIM LO modules.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or related field and at least six years of job-related experience or equivalent.

  • Good written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

  • Position may require travel. 

Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Former U.S. Navy Master Training Specialist.

  • Familiarity with the Navy Education and Training Center’s End-to-End Training Development Process.
