CACI is seeking a wide range of candidates for openings in support of a new contract award. Our support to the US Navy for the Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution (NMMES) sustainment and modernization effort includes analysis, web and database development, server and system administration, as well as training and support. NMMES provides IT software and services critical to the US Naval shipyards, Intermediate Maintenance Facilities, Regional Maintenance Centers, and Ship Repair facilities. The contract includes all personnel and managed services needed to satisfy the worldwide development, deployment, operation, maintenance, and sustainment requirements for an organization critical to the success of the Navy and its important mission.

The System Administrators will be a part of a team that supports Windows, Citrix, Unix and Linux environments.
This individual will be responsible for all aspects of environment creation, configuration, test, document and maintenance in production and/or development environments.
Under general direction, configure, test, document and maintain application environments at multiple physical locations.
Assigns passwords and monitors use of resources, backs up files as required and responds to management requests for information.

Duties and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply best practices for tuning the operating system for overall system performance.
Monitor system performance and make recommendations where applicable.
Install, test and document operating system patches.
Install, configure, test and secure operating system and system software packages.
Install and/or replace hardware.
Evaluates and responds to IAVA Certs and Bulletins.
Provide research and resolutions for operating system and hardware issues.
Provide research and resolutions for network issues.
Establishes and maintains user accounts, assigns file permissions and establishes password and account policies; installs, upgrades, configures, tests, maintains and supports operating system software in a production environment.
Creates, changes, and deletes user accounts per request.
Reviews performance logs and monitors system performance.
Troubleshoots and resolves basic level system hardware, software and communications problems; may perform configurations and adjustments to enhance database file capacity; performs automated and manual backup and restore processes.

Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and zero to two years of related experience.
System Administrators must have a position designation of IT-1, which requires the following in accordance with SECNAVINST M-5510.30 and DODINST 8500.2:
Individual must be able to obtain a favorably-adjusted SSBI or SSBI-PR updated within the past 5 years.
Individual must be a U.S. citizenship (Foreign Nationals must have a CNO-approved waiver).
Individual must meet IAT (Information Assurance Technical) Level II certification criteria specified in DoD 8570.01-M.
Security (+) CE and CCNA are desired certifications.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent and zero to two years of related experience.
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
