Sales Trainer (Learning Consultant), CA Sales &Account Management

The Sales Trainer will be accountable for delivery and/or development of training and educational programs related to business needs such as skills training, communication, team building, or management development using a variety of instructional methods. This role will leverage multiple modalities to train/guide/coach sales representatives (in a 1:1 or 1:Many environment). These include but are not limited to Live Training, eLearning, Virtual Training, Documentation, Best Practices, Case Studies, Success Stories, Role-Playing, and Scenarios. Additional responsibilities include the following: Motivate, inspire and engage the frontline staff and their managers, while developing their service-based sales abilities; Assist Sales Leadership team with effectively implementing and following established sales methods and processes to promote effective behavior change; and Serve as the authority on sales curriculum and processes, supporting managers with coaching and support.

Supports the training manager on the technical and non-technical subject matter. Develops and implements training programs. Ensures measurements are in place to validate training accuracy, comprehension, and effectiveness of training. Interacts with various management teams to ensure ongoing staff development. Coaches and mentors training coordinators. Develops processes and procedures based on findings, recommendations and management approval for the appropriate department and/or business unit. Ensures familiarity with all systems, regulatory, policy and procedure changes and external factors relating to training. Provides feedback to the training manager regarding the development and implementation of strategies to track and communicate the success of quality improvement and training efforts. Ensures training standards are being met by training coordinators. Responsible for becoming product expert by taking the initiative and getting hands-on experience in relevant curriculum applications.

Essential Functions: - NEEDS ASSESSMENT: Conducts moderately complex needs assessments for individuals and teams.

  • INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT: Designs and develops course curricula and related content and materials. May be responsible for sections of larger courses or programs. Responsible for selecting or developing training methods and/or training aids. Evaluates and modifies necessary improvements to existing training programs or curriculum. May develop informational training programs.

  • TRAINING DELIVERY: Delivers scripted, skill-based training programs to employees.

  • PROGRAM EVALUATION: Evaluates moderately complex training programs for effectiveness.

  • The above functions may be executed in an e-learning environment. These functions may also apply to the need for general learning and development background to compliment a learning systems enterprise.

  • Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline, plus working knowledge of other related fields.

  • Uses professional concepts in accordance with company objectives to solve complex problems in creative and effective ways.

Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Experience - Minimum five (5) years of related experience. Education - Bachelor's degree in related field OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field. - High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. License, Certification, Registration - N/A

Additional Requirements: - Expert in MS Applications and KP technologies. - Articulates well the mission, vision and objectives within two or more major departments of operating units. - Describes functions key responsibilities and practices of multiple departments and units. - Must be able to work in a Labor-Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications: - Training certification strongly preferred but not required.
