Aetna s Rating Environment team is looking for a Business Project Program Manager to join their team. This role is a highly visible role within the Underwriting Shared Services Technology and Reporting team. The candidate will have broad responsibilities for customer service support, developing new workflows, enhancements to rating systems, supporting training and ensuring required documentation is complete. As the Business Project Program Manager, the candidate will be responsible for supporting the business activities related to the development, implementation and ongoing management of project(s) working with the development team within large group underwriting rating systems with very limited supervision. S/He will supplies business requirements for software systems development projects by working with users and/or business stakeholders. The individual s primary focus areas: recommendations for system functionality, specification documentation, performing system testing, providing individual user training as part of handling user requests and questions, and documentation responsibilities.

Fundamental Components:· Successfully completes multiple competing tasks within project(s); self-monitors performance, tracks and is accountable for progress against timeline and key milestones. · Builds and leverages strong relationships to work effectively across business areas; solicits and evaluates internal and external customer feedback to enhance continuous quality improvement.

Identifies gaps, recommends enhancements, and writes system specifications for new and/or existing rating system workflows based on broad view of the organization, with a primary focus on underwriting. · Monitors requests for assistance from customers, responds promptly and accurately and maintains issue database. · Updates and maintains training and reference materials for end-users related to rating and workflow processes.· Identifies cross-functional support required to achieve business objectives. BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:· 4-6 year of general medical underwriting knowledge, large group underwriting experience is strongly preferred. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills.· Ability to review data to draw conclusions, respond appropriately, and make recommendations. · Attention to detail. · Proven ability to affect change/interpersonal skills. · Experience in testing, help desk, training. · Solid Project Management skills. EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
