Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Project Manager Federal Planning (Military) for employment in the Orange, CA office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as Project Manager on large multi-disciplinary military planning projects

  • Lead multiple project teams to develop creative and innovation solutions to address clients’ issues

  • Responsible for all project tasks to include data collection, data analysis, concept development, physical planning, report writing, and meeting facilitation

  • Project coordination to include scheduling, resource coordination, task management, client communication, and quality management

  • Support proposal preparation for planning projects and to contribute to client relationships and business development efforts

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Planning , or Landscape Architecture

  • 8+ years of experience

  • Background in Military Master Planning

  • Must demonstrate strong design background

  • Understanding of military planning process and requirements

  • Strong project management and time management skills

  • Excellent presentation/ workshop facilitation skills

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite required

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

  • Ability to travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • AICP certification (or certification track) preferred

  • LEED certification (or certification track) preferred

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD is a plus

  • RA or RLA Licensure is a plus
