Current Need

We are seeking a Transportation Supervisor to join our team in Orlando, FL. This role will have 15 direct reports and start at 8 - 10:00 pm Sunday through Thursday nights. Shift end time will vary based on business needs.

Position Description

Manages and coordinates the daily activities of delivery operation for the Orlando distribution center.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Daily routing of drivers via RoadNet software

  • DOT and hours of service compliance

  • Loading of truck shipments

  • Ensure licensing and certifications are updated

  • Dock security and cleanliness

  • Fleet maintenance and readiness

  • Financial P & L for the transportation department

  • Weekly payroll for direct reports

  • Team coaching and development

  • Scheduling new office setups

  • Ensure line hauls pull on time daily

  • Provide driver training

Minimum Requirements

1 years transportation experience and demonstrated leadership skills

Critical Skills

  • 1 years experience managing 5 direct reports

  • Valid class A driver’s license (or willing to get one within 9 months of employment) to cover line haul routes when team members are absent or for ride-alongs and training

  • Pass DOT physical

  • Proficient in MS Office

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to train and develop team

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Problem solving experience

  • DOT and hours of service knowledge preferred

  • Knowledge of RoadNet preferred

  • Experience with E1 or other WMS preferred

Education

2-year degree

Physical Requirements

  • Distribution Center environment

  • Ride-alongs with drivers

  • Help with new office set ups (equipment deliveries)

  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds unassisted
