Overland Park Regional Medical Center is one of the premiere medical facilities in Johnson County. The hospital is a licensed 343-bed facility offering acute and outpatient medical care services to the Overland Park community and the surrounding areas since December of 1978. Overland Park Regional Medical Center is currently looking for a Radiology Technician.
Under the general direction of the Radiologist and/or Radiology Director/Manager/Team Lead, the technologist will:
Safely perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including procedures in surgery and portable exams.
Participate in performance improvement and quality control.
Work within the guidelines established in the policies and procedures manuals.
Comply with all radiation safety procedures.
Work in accordance with the JCAHO, state and other regulatory or accreditation agencies.
Perform a variety of tasks to comply with the record keeping required by regulatory or accrediting agencies.
Provide care for patients in all age groups and degrees of acuity.
Consistently complete all required documentation in Meditech and PACS.
Have strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication
Be flexible and self-motivated, a team builder and team player.
Be able to interact with patients, physicians and customers in a pleasant, positive and courteous manner.
Graduate of an accredited program by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), American Medical Association (AMA), JRCERT or other accrediting agencies.
Licensure/ Certifications: Registry in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible ( must obtain within 90 days of hire )
Current Kansas License or must obtain within 90 days of hire *
**registry eligible new hiresmust present proof of application for KS license within 1 week of successfully passing ARRT registry when maximum time limit has been reached. KS License must be presented for HR documentation within 30 days of passing ARRT registry or 120 days of hire
Current BLS certification at time of hire
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of work related experience in all aspects of Diagnostic Radiography preferred.
