Aetna PLS Account Executive in Parsippany, New Jersey

The Account Executive is the strategic business owner responsible for the development and execution of the immediate and long term strategic business plan for the development of strong customer relationships, revenue growth, member retention and achievement of financial objectives for an assigned book of business. This position will have a large NJ public sector focus but will also have labor customers and some and NY customers. Customer product offerings include large medical, Medicare, dental, and pharmacy membership and a some group insurance (Life and STD) products. The Account Executive must maintain a resident producer license in his/her home state as well as non resident licenses in other northeastern states or as designated by sales management. Medicare product certification will be required after hire as a condition of continued employment.

Fundamental Components:

The Account Executive's performance and incentive will be measured against stated objectives including: * Retention of currently assigned cases, product lines, membership, revenue and profit margins * Expansion of the assigned book by cross selling additional products to address customer needs * Customer satisfaction measured in responses to periodic surveys. Account Executives are expected to be able to travel within the northeast market and engage in activities to expand on business relationships including attendance at select conferences and entertainment outside of normal business hours.


  • 6-8+ years industry or customer experience * Candidates with Account Management and health care specific experience in the NJ/NY markets will be able to differentiate themselves * Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) required.


    The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

    Telework Specifications:

    Considered for workers living in NJ / NY Metro area. Training period in the NJ office may be required with transition to part-time or full-time telework after completion of training and demonstration of requisite skills and capabilities.
