Job Summary

We are seeking a Construction Safety Expert for Highways to join our project team in Patna, Bihar location. In this role you will be responsible for the following:

  • Safety Audit of entire Packages, Take Precautionary Environment & Health Safety action and enforce to their implementation as per IRC/MORTH/ OSHA specification and contractual agreement EMP clauses.

  • Hazardous area classification risk assessment HAZOP, QRA (Qualitative Risk Assessment, HAZID/FIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) reporting.

  • Conduct routine functional tasks i.e. Tool Box meeting, special safety meeting, pre-deployment safety orientations. On the Job-Safety training refresher courses. M.S.D.S Orientation.

  • To conduct safety training & create awareness to all workers.

  • Obtaining necessary work permits that is required for the job to execute.

  • Make daily inspection to the workers to ensure that they are working within the frame of safety.

  • Checking and monitoring the scaffoldings & the tag systems, inspecting ladders, man way baskets etc before these are being used.

  • Daily monitoring supervisors log book.

  • Checking the safe work plan & housekeeping of the working area before starting the work.

  • Inspection of heavy equipment and lifting materials such as wire rope, Ceiling, D shackle, clamps etc.

  • Generating formats as required, preparing daily reports regarding safety in the job site.

  • Auditing monthly colour codes as per client standard.

  • Weekly joint safety inspection with client and making deviation report if any.

  • Taking part in managerial level meeting both internal & with client.

  • Auditing machinery, PPE, Housekeeping & Hand tools.

  • Orientation program fall protection program & confined space entry program.

  • Regular inspection & maintenance of safety and fire fitting equipment.

  • Preparation of company accident & Incident reports, accident statistics and reporting to management & client.

  • Development of job safety analysis and hazards identification.

  • To educate the personnel to follow safe working practice.

Minimum Requirements

  • B.Tech. in Civil engineering.

  • At least 25 years of experience post qualifications.

  • Experience in IRC/MORTH/ OSHA specification.

  • Good experience in safety inspection with client and making deviation report if any.

  • experience in preparation of company accident & Incident reports, accident statistics and reporting to management & client.

Preferred Qualifications

  • M Tech. in Civil engineering.
