The Medicare Sales Associate is a key position in supporting the sales efforts of our direct to consumer Individual Medicare team. This position supports the team in generating new profitable membership, establishing brand presence and product awareness in the western portion of Pennsylvania & the state of West Virginia. The primary focus is representing the Medicare Advantage product portfolio, which includes both Coventry Advantra and Aetna Medicare Advantage offerings.

Fundamental Components:

Majority of time during AEP (October-December), is spent supporting Field Sales Representatives as they build a book of business from in-home presentations, group presentations, educational based events and senior community event representation. Additional opportunities during AEP to conduct & lead Member Retention meetings - Majority of time during Lock In (January-September) is spent developing centers of influence, building brand awareness with community events, and participating in project management opportunities to support the Market Head of Sales -Responsible for meeting team sales goals, quotas, and management objectives based upon corporate sales and marketing goals. -Participates in implementing strategies to increase enrollment and drive profitability of the Medicare Advantage segment -Responsible for assisting in the application process with the Medicare beneficiaries. -Works at health fairs throughout the year to increase enrollment opportunities. -Attends area professionally related seminars and organizational meetings related to the Medicare population.


Appropriate state licensure to sell insurance required. Past experience in a high performance sales culture. Medicare Advantage background and/or experience Managed Care background and/or experience Direct to consumer sales or sales support experience


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.


Insurance/Life, Health & Accident License (PA) is desired
