Individual will be a Test Lead/Coordinator as part of the Testing, Deployment, and Environment Services Center of Excellence supporting Functional Testing for Finance Technology.

He/ she will be responsible to deliver against initiative and small enhancement portfolio objectives within Finance Technology.


  • Works closely with globally distributed change managers, business partners, test coordinators and testers during Test Planning & Execution phases

  • Coordinate Process team inputs into Testing deliverables

  • Review Business Requirements, Fspecs and Tspecs

  • Analyze requirements and keep track of versions

  • Work closely with Development/Tech teams and understand the design

  • Provide inputs in story planning sessions (for Agile projects)

  • Hands on maintenance of HP ALM/Quality Center

  • Provide training on HP ALM/Quality Center (as needed)

  • Design, create and review test conditions/scenarios, cases and scripts

  • Set guidelines for the test scripts to be written by the team

  • Walkthrough test scenarios and test scripts with Functional Analysts & Tech teams

  • Ensure testing is on schedule and escalate any issues/concerns.

  • Ensure HP ALM/QC is updated for testing process and defects

  • Ensure Stories and defects are tracked in Rally (for Agile projects)

  • Manage day to day activities of testers based on testing needs

  • Assign task to all team members and ensure that all of them have sufficient work in the project

  • Review test execution results

  • Partner closely with peers, building co-operation and co-ordination of teams and functions often in geographically different locations

  • Coordinate prioritization of test scripts and defects

  • Ensure defects are being assigned and worked upon

  • Document and track defects to closure

  • Report the project/testing progress and metrics to Stakeholders & leadership on a regular basis

  • Continuous monitoring and mentoring of team members to build skills/competency

  • Provide inputs to 'Lesson learned' document

• Some Key Deliverables:

 Test Strategy document(s), Test Plan(s), Testing Tracker(s), Test Execution Status Reports and Defect Report

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of Experience in Functional Testing, Proven Expertise with various SDLC/STLC methodologies and its benefits on leveraging types of applications.

  • Experience in coordinating End to end/ integrated testing

  • Strong Test Lead/Coordinator Experience

  • Hands on Experience in Report testing, Web applications testing. Finance/Banking domain applications testing is a plus.

  • Hands on Experience in testing projects following Waterfall and Agile methodologies

  • Working Knowledge of Test Management Tools like HP Quality Center (QC)/ ALM, JIRA or Rally

  • Working Knowledge of Defect management process, Risk Framework and mitigation and Enterprise Testing standards

  • Full project lifecycle experience from specification to delivery:

  • Understands and is able to showcase experience of all phases of software testing and quality control

  • Understands business & testing strategies in interdependent area and can effectively apply knowledge to improve testing approaches

  • Basic SQL scripting and Back-end validation knowledge

  • Experience with test automation tool set – Selenium/QTP/Tosca

  • Strong competency in requirement analysis, prioritize tasks, identify risks

  • Excellent soft skills like good communication (via email, phone, live-meeting, etc,) and inter-personnel skills

  • Highly motivated, Organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changes
