The mission of the Care Delivery Informatics & Support Team is to equip our KPNW staff w/ the technology tools they need to improve quality, safety & accuracy to better provide perfect, flawless health care & total satisfaction to our customers & members. The Dept does this through diligent & conscientious attention to user needs, through partnerships w/ Nat-l & Epic Systems in the continued development & enhancement of the system, through partnerships in the Region w/ NWP, IT, & the Labor Mgmt Partnership, & by applying medical informatics, systems, & project Mgmt expertise in improvement efforts across the Region. The Care Delivery Informatics & Support Team supports the region's key strategic initiatives by providing skill assessments & training/educational srvs to patient care & business process teams. This team plays an integral role in the facilitation, introduction, acceptance, integration, & effective use of technology tools & related new processes, work flows & new hire training. This position is responsible for providing high quality educational materials, web based, instructor led, & hybrid for all levels of KP clinicians & staff using technology tools to provide patient care directly to our KPNW members. The purpose of this job is to provide strategic guidance in all forms of content design & development, leveraging technology platforms & excellent & consistent creative interactive design & assist in the development of web-based training. Maintain & update the eLearning & Student Placement Srvs web page, Administer Web-Based Training (WBT) technologies, provide design & direction & support to ensure user-friendliness, easy accessibility, & up to date information. Administers & develops as needed Reg-l on-line staff education programs, e.g.,Compliance training, Safety & Security, etc. Maintains & updates data to support on-line learning efforts.
Essential Functions: - Instructional design & development experience w/ a concentration on simulation construction & applied learning strategies. Promote CDIS Technology training offerings to both regional & inter-regional audiences as appropriate. Leverage learning technologies to ensure learning deliverables support CDIS learning strategy & end user needs while utilizing appropriate format & brand identity. Develops & produces course curriculum & related content & materials. Maximizes electronic learning support tools to support the CDIS learning strategy. Evaluates & identifies necessary improvements to existing training programs or curricula by other learning consultants. Provides expertise in the CDIS virtual training space. Manage & maintain the CDIS web pages to ensure they accurately reflect the group's products, services, & schedule of classes. Test, debug, & maintain existing Internet site. Partner w/ IT to troubleshoot websites, LMS, SharePoint & other ELearning systems related to issues & recommend enhancements based upon the user needs. Act as the CDIS eLearning expert. - Functions in learning consulting capacity w/ business partner & end user groups. Stays w/ current trends in learning, training & development research including theory, new materials, methods & techniques. Coordinate w/ key business partners & colleagues to determine & create course locations, schedules, & course descriptions into CDIS website, database & LMS. Manage resources/materials/registrations for all educational offerings & events, including the delegation of these tasks to data entry personnel. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Experience - Minimum six (6) years of experience working in web based training design, and written communications. - Minimum four (4) years of experience with Web design. - Minimum four (4) years of experience with web-based training. - Minimum four (4) years of delivering instructor led training, presentations, and facilitation. Education - Bachelor's degree required, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field. - Formal training degree or equivalent experience in graphic design. - High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. License, Certification, Registration - N/A
Additional Requirements: - Strong project management skills required. - Must have the ability to meet critical deadlines. - Requires significantly complex decision-making. - Thorough knowledge of instructional design techniques and principles. - Thorough understanding of the PC and Windows environment. - Basic knowledge of HTML and information architecture. - Basic knowledge of Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Flash. - Demonstrates customer-focused service skills. - Solid design/page layout web based solutions. - Mastery of instructional design principles, instructional writing, and evaluation. - Mastery of current software application, e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, Dreamweaver, Macromedia Fireworks, and Flash. - Problem identification and resolution skills. - Graphic creation and manipulation. - Competency in Web-based training authorware, e.g. Saba Publisher. - Demonstrated consultation and influence skills. - Proficient writing and grammar skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Minimum six (6) years of experience in SCORM compliant e-learning solutions including development, design, graphic design. - Experience working in a healthcare or related field. - Experience with virtual learning technologies. - Experience with eLearning development tools. - Experience with administering Learning Management Systems (LMSs). - Epic Systems software experience and/or electronic medical record system (EMR) experience. - Instructional design experience working with specific authoring tools for web-based trainings. - Demonstrated experience in the creation of e-Learning content using a range of software and rapid development tools. - Bachelor's degree in instruction design, instruction technology, communication, education or a related field. - Proficient in Adobe e-Learning Suite and its capabilities including FLASH development. - 2D/3D animation, audio/visual production and using the e-learning applications Captivate, Articulate, and Lectora. - Must be able to deliver to specified time-scales. - Advanced knowledge and detailed understanding of training theories, methodologies, and techniques particularly in relation to the use of technology in education. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including instructional, facilitation, and presentation skills. - Skills Testing: Writing sample & a presentation. - Instructional design formal training. - Knowledge and the ability to use Contribute, Saba, Lectora, SCORM, or Articulate. - Strong Instructional Design experience in a corporate web-based environment required.
