The Service Delivery Planning Consultant reports to the Senior Director of Strategic and Service Delivery Planning. The SDP Consultant manages and facilitates the process to develop end-to-end service delivery strategies and plans by service line across all Service Areas within the Kaiser Permanente NW footprint. Serves as a lead and stakeholder integration point by providing oversight accountability for service delivery planning process; creating preparatory materials for strategy and plan development, providing relevant data insights and reporting, and ensuring SDP alignment with other KPNW strategic imperatives and initiatives. Serves as the subject matter expert for assigned service lines to other parts of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities: - Collaborates with operational leaders to develop and maintain service line strategic plans and ensures plan alignment with KPNW strategic imperatives and initiatives and core tenants. Serves as the lead for plan development, approval, and revision. - Oversees and provides support for key service delivery planning processes for the department; including coordinating and facilitating governance processes and meetings related to service delivery planning, ensuring all related decisions are aligned with service line strategies and core tenants. - Provides thought leadership, analytical thinking and industry expertise to the development of serve line strategies. Facilitates prioritization, scope control, and resource allocation decisions with the appropriate teams. - Identifies critical risks and issues and drives issue resolution; appropriately escalates issues to Leadership or key stakeholders. Raises awareness regarding critical project dependencies and ensures that all requirements are communicated to relevant work streams and business partners. - Collaborates with data analytics, finance, and facility planning teams to create and present information needed for SDP strategy and plan development. Serves as the integration point for inputs related to SDP processes. - Leads or participates in project teams related to the development and execution of the KPNW strategic plan and service delivery planning processes.
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Experience - Minimum five (5) years of experience working directly with senior management to identify, develop and execute strategic initiatives (preferably within a healthcare delivery or heath care consulting organization), or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree may be considered in lieu of two (2) years of the required experience. Education - Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration or related field License, Certification, Registration - N/A
Additional Requirements: - Strong communication and facilitation skills with all levels of the organization, including the ability to resolve complex issues, build consensus among groups of diverse stakeholders, manage strategic partner relationships, and effectively lead and engage internal teams in the fulfillment of roles and responsibilities. - Knowledge of and experience working in the health care industry. - Demonstrated strategic planning and analytical ability. - A proven team player with the ability to partner, maintain and develop relationships. - Able to manage and motivate others through influence and thrive in an extremely fast-paced environment. - Demonstrated competency in portfolio management: budgeting, organizing work, providing oversight to staff, establishing measures for success, and managing to deliverables. - Demonstrated experience in initiating, tracking and managing business transformation projects / programs and leading change. - Ability to coordinate initiatives and bring people together across multiple locations, lines of businesses, and functions. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with strategic and service delivery planning in an integrated delivery system. - Experience in constructing actionable service line strategies and tracking the implementation of new or revised care delivery and operational processes. - Masters degree in business administration, health care administration, or related field.
