Location: Prague, Roztoky, Czech Republic
Software Engineer will be responsible for development and testing of embedded software for Eaton building automation, power distribution and energy management solutions using the latest software technologies.
· Design and implementation of software solutions for Home/Building Automation
· Design and implementation of communication, control and data management solutions in power distribution and power management area
· Preparing architecture and design documents
· Coding and unit testing of software applications
· Preparing test specifications, develop and run tests
· Provides support to field trials and early adopters
· Support maintenance of already existing software
· Study and deploy new software and communication technologies
· Analysis of reported issues
BSc / MSc Degree in Electrical engineering / Cybernetics / Informatics
Knowledge of Java, C/C++ programming for Linux based embedded systems
General knowledge of software development processes
Interested in software applications in the field of electrical engineering and automation
Fluency in English
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Home/Building Automation applications (Heating/cooling algorithm, Scene/Macro functions etc.)
Java OSGi framework
Experience in design of graphical user interfaces
Linux system programming and system administration
Linux distributions for embedded systems ( eg. Yocto)
Knowledge of communication programming in TCP/IP networks, 6LoWPAN
Knowledge of Field Bus systems / communication protocols (Profibus, ProfiNet, CAN, Modbus, Modbus TCP,..)
Knowledge of home automation protocols (ZigBee, ZWaweZWave)
Knowledge of lifecycle management tools (e.g. Polarion or similar)
Knowledge of CoDeSys
