Under the direction of the Manager, OD, Change and Training, the Advisor, Talent Management and Development’s primary focus is to provide leaders with the tools and training needed to achieve organizational objectives and continuously improve performance and employee engagement. The incumbent is in charge of planning, organizing, facilitating and managing activities related to cultivating talent, allowing for opportunities for growth and development within the organization.

More specifically, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring the deployment of Talent initiatives, including communications, materials, program evaluations and necessary follow-ups for all programs and activities under his /her responsibility. He/she must ensure that all programs are aligned with the McKesson Canada Strategy and the People Strategy.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Contributes to identifying, planning and coordinating the deployment of national Talent Management initiatives, including the development of tools and support materials.

  • Manages the employee engagement survey and develops the required tools to ensure ownership of results and the development of impactful action plans throughout the organization.

  • Revamps our current onboarding process and develops the required tools and support materials in order to create an engaging employee experience, including for our Distribution Center population.

  • Leads our traditional Performance Management process as well as any other Performance Management pilot initiatives ongoing in the organization.

  • Leads the redesign of our Recognition program in line with our ILEAD principles.

  • Contributes to designing new tools and processes to ensure People Managers provide ongoing/quality feedback to employees.

  • Contributes to developing McKesson Canada’s Diversity and Inclusion strategy and ensures alignment to McKesson’s Corporation Diversity & Inclusion (“D&I”) Strategy and Initiatives.

  • Supports and ensures the deployment of our new Human Capital Management system as it relates to onboarding and performance management.

  • Contributes to the enhancement of our McKesson Culture, including our philosophy on Talent, Diversity & Inclusion and our ILEAD leadership attributes and our ICARE values. Integrates these components in all Talent initiatives.

  • Supports, in collaboration with the Manager, OD, Change and Training, organizational and HR change initiatives, including M&A activities, by working closely with all stakeholders and developing the required methodology and tools to support the change.

  • Continually analyzes the current environment and emerging knowledge needs to provide informed recommendations on tools or process changes that will positively affect the company, internal teams, and ultimately customers.

General Responsibilities

  • Establishes positive relationships internally and externally, particularly with internal leaders, HR Business Partners, and team members; interacts autonomously with external contactors.

  • Ensures compliance with and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

  • University degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business, Education or a related field

  • Master’s degree desirable

  • 5-7 years of experience managing Human Resources programs, OD programs and or training activities

  • Proven ability to interact and appropriately influence at all levels of the organization

  • Good written and oral communication skills (bilingualism is mandatory)

  • Autonomous, proven organizational skills and ability to take initiative

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Project management experience preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel) and LMS systems
