Which role will you play?
Reporting to the Supervisor –Operations Support, the pre-flight mechanic technician performs mechanical work and checking and servicing of a complex nature of the aircraft CF-18 with detailed drawings and other documents made available to him.
How your daily life would look like
Perform mechanical work and also visual, functional and operational checks of the complex nature of the CF- 18;
Participate in the preparation of the aircraft ( excluding the tasks related to the electric circuit , radio , radar and systems and electronic equipment ) for the flight or the customer approval ;
Check, adjust, repair or replace units and equipment such as:
o Internal storage;
o seat and harness;
o furnishing and upholstery;
o sheet metal repairs if needed;
Check and service for flight aircraft systems such as hydraulic, pneumatic, heat and vent, flying controls, landing gear, engines etc., by connecting and operating appropriate power test stands and units, and carrying out details of any total assignment as directed.;
Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor;
Exercise extreme care and follow company safety and security bulletins, etc., in the handing, refueling and movement of aircraft and when assisting in engine starting and ground running etc.
Five (5) years of experience in a similar position;
Experience working on the CF-18;
Fluent in both English and French (spoken and written).
