Job Summary

The Senior Supervisor, Accounting is responsible to oversee our accounting department’s daily operations and to leading the accounting team to ensure the timely and accurate month-end close process. The incumbent will also be responsible to continuously improve and implement streamlined business processes to optimize accounting workflow.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Supervise, support and lead a team (Account Payable, and two Financial Analysts) and coordinate their workload

  • Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department

  • Perform mid-year, annual reviews, objectives and follow ups

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff members

  • Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations

  • Manage month-end and year-end closing

  • Responsible for the preparation of the financial statements and provide strong analysis on the Balance Sheet and Income Statement accountsincluding preparing journal entries and therequired supporting documentation for the following categories:

  • Analyze and validate Revenues and Cost of Goods

  • Review and maintain maintenance revenue recognition reconciliations

  • Prepare payroll analysis and related reconciliations

  • Analyze direct and indirect expenses

  • Prepare the commission calculations and payment processing

  • Prepare Bank reconciliations (including US bank account)

  • Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives (Key performance indicators)

  • Oversee the continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes and the development of the team with the goal to achieve best practices

  • Maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls

  • Responsible to prepare and analyze impromptu reports for the executive team

  • Participate in the preparation of the budget

  • Participate in projects involving continuous improvement in both efficiency and reporting

Job Requirements

  1. University degree in Accounting or Finance;

  2. Professional designation (CPA, CMA; CPA, CGA, CPA, CA);

  3. 5-7 years of experience in a similar position;

  4. Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations;

  5. Experience with ERP and relational database;

  6. Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas);

  7. Strong analytical skills to create detailed financial reports for decision making;

  8. Proven management skills;

  9. Attention to detail and accuracy;

  10. Team player and strong interpersonal skills;

  11. Organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in urgent and short deadlines;

  12. Demonstrates initiative and leadership skills;

  13. Ability to act with professionalism, particularly in the face of adversity and difficult situation
