IBM Global Business Services is hiring an Associate Partner (AP) with subject matter expertise in Financial Services and one or more of the Blockchain technology platforms, such as Ethereum, Hyperledger, and Ripple. Other equivalent proprietary platform experience may be considered. You will need deep expertise within insurance and banking industries. You will have responsibility for a set of offerings within a domain; contribute to practice development and people management; and, create strategies and implement plans to achieve pipeline/revenue objectives. Along with bringing thought leadership and understands the business challenges of the Insurance and banking clients and through working with practice executives, clients and IBM staff and will develop and deliver solutions to those challenges in order to contribute to our growth. Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a member of the practice leadership team, contributing to strategy, practice development, offering development and talent management

  • Contribute to thought leadership and point of view materials aligned with select domain

  • Build senior line of business client relationships and a business pipeline of opportunities

  • Maintain business controls for pipeline reporting and signings/revenue forecasting

  • Achieve personal signings, revenue and utilization objectives, in alignment with practice objectives

  • Understand client needs and industry trends and develop winning proposals, applying IBM’s consulting and technology/data capabilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver complex Distributed Ledger/Blockchain technology applications

  • Conceptualize and develop relevant use cases, proof-of-concepts (POC), proof-of-value (POV)

  • Generate repeat sales at assigned client and support sales efforts of the practice

  • Manage client relationships

  • Lead teams to successful delivery

  • At least 10 years of experience in managing or consulting in the Insurance and/or banking industry

  • At least 5 years of experience in a prior consulting role with responsibility for and demonstrated success in business development and account management with Property & Casualty Insurance clients focused on core insurance

  • At least 5 years of experience working for a management consulting company within a banking or insurance firm.

  • Established C-Level (CIO, COO, CMO, CFO, business line leaders) relationships in the Financial Services is required.
